What's involved?

We are always looking for enthusiastic and passionate health and social care professionals from across all disciplines to join us. If you are actively involved in healthcare delivery, have a passion for delivering the best possible services, and are able to command the respect of both clinical and non-clinical professionals, we’d love to hear from you!

NW Clinical Senate Assembly

As a member of the NW Clinical Senate Assembly, you’ll be part of a forum that is periodically asked to participate in clinical reviews and you will be invited to join our conferences, workshops and training events.

Our role is to provide impartial clinical advice, focused on the best interests of the population, not of organisations or professional interests. Professional objectivity and neutrality are the basis of our influence and credibility.

If you’d like further information, please contact us via our contact form.

NW Clinical Senate Council

If you are keen to get more involved, then there will regularly be opportunities to apply to join the NW Clinical Senate Council. This process is more formal and will require an application and interview.

This small multi-professional expert group has a membership of up to 35 people, the majority being clinicians in roles with regular patient contact. The Council provides overall leadership and direction to support management of the Senate’s business. It maintains strategic clinical oversight across the NW region and is primarily responsible for the formulation and provision of independent expert advice, drawing on the views and opinions of the wider Assembly when required.

The NW Clinical Senate regularly run recruitment drives for the Council. Members are invited to join following a successful recruitment process.
